To a Homeschooling Mother…. Happiness Is…

New bookcases.

And the looks and exclamations of joy from three helpers, each with a brush in hand, helping to stain the bookcases.

I will soon have all the bookcases I need, without layering shelves or using boxes. They will all be bought, assembled, stained, varnished, put in place, and loaded with books by the end of the month. When everything is done, I will have to dream bigger. :-)

That’s great - I can only dream myself :-) I don’t have any books in boxes (except of some of my fiction) but just about everywhere is double-layered and full, full, full.

BTW, I LOVE that picture of you on the sidebar!

Great to hear from you. I loved your Mad Scientists post. :-)

I know what you mean by “double-layered and full, full, full.” I am so excited. I wasn’t sure if I should post about my new bookcases, because I remember feeling kind of jealous when I saw Leann’s post here:

But I thought I would share my joy anyway!

    Thanks about the pic.

And then they will be full, stacked double and more boxes will be taking care of the overflow. We seem to fill bookcases faster than anything else!

Yep. You’re right. I know what you mean. Especially when we still have another couple years of high school that we don’t have books for yet.

I did find out I can’t get as many new bookcases as I expected. A couple I picked out were poorly made. Anyway, I have lots of staining and varnishing left.

So nice to see you here, Dana. I haven’t seen you for ages. Have a great weekend.
