A Kite
author unknown
I often sit and wish that I
Could be a kite up in the sky,
And ride upon the wind and go
Whichever way I chanced to blow.
Kite Days
Mark Sawyer
A kite, a sky, and a good firm breeze,
And acres of ground away from trees,
And one hundred yards of clean, strong string -
O boy, o boy! I call that spring!

I wish we had a place to fly a kite. I love kite flying. I used to be able to do some tricks. None of my children have ever flown a kite.
I love this picture – actually all of them – but this one draws me in.
SmockLady,
The kite we got was small and only $3. It didn’t have to go up very high, and they loved it. Want me to send you one? I will if you email me your mailing address.
I love watching people who are good at flying kites using two strings. They are fun.
Hi Andrea, Which one exactly here? The bottom one? I like that C6 is running with the kite. The first was while we were walking to the van, but the kite kept diving into the boardwalk.
Are those piping plover signs I see?
Yes. All over the place, but not a piping plover in sight.
Perhaps the birds can’t read and don’t know where they are susposed to pipe. All I know is that there is less people space and more plover space each year.
Maybe the signs were in French.
