Books C6 Read in Grade One

In the first grade, C6 read many, many picture books and early reader books. She began reading chapter books in January. She finished the first grade by reading a whole Bobbsey Twins book in one day.

    Ah, the ABeka books! I was raised on those. That’s where I learned all my grammar. I was a bit of a dork…I LOVED grammar worksheets, diagramming sentences, etc.

    Hi Travis. Your blog is one of my favorites. Thanks for stopping by. My sister was raised on ABeka too (K-12). My boys don’t seem to like diagramming sentences too much - or even writing for that matter. My 9yo says it is because he can’t think of what to write. My 14yo enjoys writing video game reviews/reports. At least that keeps him writing. ;-) We are all big HP fans.
