I find it a tad odd how so many people find my website after searching for PICTURES of certain Biblical characters. No, I don’t have any photos of Deborah or Sarah from the Bible, etc. LOL

I am reposting this without the quote from the first song, because you couldn’t tell it was a “quote” in my site feed. LOL Anyway, this is a great video about the financial crisis in the U.S.

    Enough of the Glasses

    | September 28, 2008

There. This makes fifteen new posts (including private ones.) That reminds me, several new people have registered in September, but I have not approved any of them because they were among spam registrations. If you would like to view my private posts that include many photos of the chidren, then send me an email about yourself and register in the sidebar. Just because you might have previously registered does not mean you can actually see the private posts. I have to approve the registration. And, even if I have approved your registration, and you NEVER leave a comment, then I will eventually delete you. ACK!

THANKS for reading my blog. Hope you all have a great week!!

Big Fan Trying to Look Like Sarah Palin (Hair Up, Glasses, and Red High Heels)

    | September 28, 2008

    Q. What would I do for Sarah Palin?
    A. Set aside my contacts and pose for a rare picture in my glasses!!

(A while ago, I actually ordered a pair
of rimless glasses, but they made me dizzy.
I need a distinct border for focusing I guess.)

My New “Sarah Palin” Red Shoes

    Okay, I know… LOL…

She is glamorous… And my shoes only cost $29.
(and I can’t stand my toes showing).

Edited to add another picture of Sarah in red high heels.

    Edited on October 3rd:

    Dolly

    Grammy’s School Days Recitation

Last night I stole into the study,
And nobody knew I was there.
    I saw a magnificent dolly
In a box on my Daddy’s arm chair.
Now Sister’s too old for a dolly,
    And Baby, she’s just three,
I’m going to be seven tomorrow,
And I know that that Dolly’s for me.

    Keep Hanging in There

    | September 28, 2008

My grandmother had been dealing with health problems during the last couple of years before she recently passed away. In addition to a narrative, I read the following true story at her funeral yesterday.

For many months, my aunt Carol would crawl into bed with Grammy at night to comfort her as she was going to sleep. They would sing old hymns, recite Scripture, and pray together. One such night, my aunt noticed Grammy staring at the wall, high up near the ceiling. My aunt asked her, “What are you looking at, Mom?” Grammy replied, “I see Jesus.” After an emotional pause, my aunt asked, “Mom, did Jesus say anything to you?” Grammy answered without hesitating, “Yes, He said, ‘Keep hanging in there.’” Then she turned and looked directly in my aunt’s eyes and said, “I am hanging in there, Carol, aren’t I?” Carol answered, “You sure are Mom, you sure are.”

Grammy’s last years were hard, but now she doesn’t need to hang in there any longer. “Her pain is past, her work is done. She has been fully blessed. She fought the fight, the victory won, and has entered into rest.”

God has called her home. And now, WE must keep hanging in there. We must live each of our remaining days for His glory until we, too, are called home.
