That’s about all my kiddos play with.
The boys also like monster trucks and pirates, and my daughter likes play food so she can play ’shopping’.
That’s what we have, and they play for hours and hours and hours….

My girls love their toy horses and equipment (fences, plastic hay bales, saddles, dolls to ride them, accompanying animals like dogs, goats, etc.) They spend hours setting them up and playing with them.
The boys, well that’s another story. My boys (the 4,5,7,& 8 year old ones) do NOT play with toys. They collect things in their pockets, but they do not PLAY with them.
What’s a mom to do? From asking around, I’ve learned a lot of women have this experience with their boys. My 15 yo son always loved his toy trains (Thomas) and monster trucks. He also liked to draw trains, trucks, and guns. Now he spend hours making very small detailed WWII planes out of wood.
Ours love to be out of doors and explore or play in the dirt. If it’s too cold or there isn’t snow down during the winter, life becomes quite challenging (and LONG) for me. We need to fix up our barn so they can go unleash their energy in that. I guess I could always have them muck out goat pens! haha

One thing we got last Christmas that has been a big hit all year is a Marble Run. The cheap plastic one.
The big kids like to build it, and then the little ones (ages 2-5) will literally sit there for hours putting marbles in and watching them go down. We actually have a dedicated marble run table.
