Down, but not out… Actually I am inspired.
And now the campaigning begins. I don’t mean for the next election. I mean in the work of the Great Commission. Spreading light and truth and sharing the good news of the one and only Saviour Jesus Christ.
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’” Mark 16:15
We may have lost a battle, but we are ultimately guaranteed to win the war, albeit, it looks like there will be a lot more casualties along the way.
May God spare us from Obama’s first intention as President, which is to sign the Freedom of Choice act, and may God soften the hearts of each possible Supreme Court justice that Obama might nominate.
Today, the work begins. Let’s roll.

Carol,
Bless you for being uplifting. I cried last night when he won, and again this morning when looking at our newspaper. It feels so dreaded.
I look at my children and feel saddened for them.
Like you, though, I do feel more inspired. I feel inspired to work harder to teach them morals and values, and respect for life.
Let the good come that can, and the praying begin! (or continue)
The US paid over a billion dollars to have him as president. I don’t think they’re going to get what they paid for. Great encouragement Carol.
I agree, Carol. Thank you.
I’m with you! Let’s roll!
As I was piling wood just now, I discovered myself singing “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”. (Strange that it would come to my mind today – or perhaps not so strange.) It is an American abolitionist hymn.
These are the wonderful words of verse 4:
“He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat:
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.”
There were a few highlights of the election, such as the California voters banning gay marriage, thus overturning a previous court ruling making it legal.
Florida banned it also.
You are right Amie. We can look at that as a success, but it is also a red flag warning since 45% voted against it in CA. It won’t be long until that tips, just like it did in Canada.
