The Most Surprising Thing I Have Learned as a Homeschooling Mother
If you want your children to lose at least four years of their education, then send them to public school. I had never expected homeschooling to make such a difference in my children’s academic progress. It is not because they are extra smart or extra dedicated. They are just normal TV watching, video game playing kids who learned to read properly and study independently.
After homeschooling this long, I have come to the conclusion that public school truly is a babysitting service. Sure, some parents need this babysitting service, but a public school is certainly not the best environment for academic excellence. Sure, many students survive (like me) and some even become successful, but I am certain they would attain their goals much more quickly if they had been educated at home.
