We got to see my baby niece on the webcam for the first time yesterday. C1 said, “Baby… Baby…” and even repeated the baby’s name.

      “co-sleeping is all the rage”:
Your brother recently told me how animals seem to have more sense than people in caring for their babies – particularly at sleeping time. Are any known to put their babies in another (bedroom) part of the forest or, as you mentioned, zoo?

      Great minds….
      (Oh, my very smart family!!!)

When I have watched TLC shows like “Bringing Home Baby” and “A Baby Story”, I can’t tell you how many people have their dog or cat sleep on their bed, but have the baby in a crib/other room.

My “tiger theory”: if you lived in the wild and you let your baby “cry it out” ALL of you would be eaten by a tiger.

Question: What mammal on the planet would place its newborn offspring 20 feet away for the night, ignore its cries and expect it to be there in the morning?

Thanks for linking to this! I love it. I’m so thankful to have very strong parenting instincts. I don’t know why God allowed mine to be preserved while most of my friends seem to have lost theirs or to constantly question them.
