We got to see my baby niece on the webcam for the first time yesterday. C1 said, “Baby… Baby…” and even repeated the baby’s name.

Immediate cord clamping can cause hypotension, hypovolemia and infant anemia, resulting in cognitive deficits. Some have even theorized that the rise in autism could be linked at least in part to early cord clamping.”

We left the cord and placenta attached for 1+ hours with my second 2 children, and they are AMAZINGLY healthy. Much stronger than my first 2 babies. No jaundice, slept through the nights early, no nursing issues, no asthma, nothing. Who knows?
