I am a mother of 4 and a new grandmother for 5 days, and I just cannot understand how a mother can do anything like this. She could have easily given the baby to a loving family to adopt it. Just think of all the couples who want a family and cannot have one of their own… In addition, the law definitely needs to be changed because if the mother wanted an abortion, she could have gotten on before the baby was full term. And why get prenatal care if you are only going to kill the baby once it is born? The only thing I can think of is the mother suffered from some sort of post traumatic stress disorder or some type of mental disorder.
