Roe v Wade decision “abetted irresponsible – even predatory – male sexual behavior”

Top Legal Scholar Warns Abortion Issue Can Divide a Nation
    http://www.c-fam.org/publications/id.1562/pub_detail.asp

“Despite what abortion advocates promised and the court believed, [Robert] George instructed, the decision ‘has taken the lives of more than fifty million unborn victims…done immeasurable moral, psychological, and sometimes physical harm to womencorrupted physicians and nurses by turning healers into killers…undermined the moral authority of the law by its injustice…abetted irresponsible – even predatory – male sexual behavior…[and] metastasized into widespread elite support for deadly embryo experimentation and even…the horrific and grisly practice of fetal farming – the creation of human beings by cloning or other experimentation and transplantation…’” Robert George, Princeton University Professor

“George concluded that the 2012 U.S. presidential election ‘will almost certainly be the decisive one when it comes to the Supreme Court and the future of Roe v. Wade.’”

The atrocities began forty years ago.

    carol | January 25, 2010

My older sons and I watched Glenn Beck’s documentary on Friday evening. It was quite educational.

On his follow-up program this evening, Glenn Beck said, “No one on this program is saying this administration is setting out to commit atrocities in America. What we are saying is that the pattern repeats itself and we must be vigilant and watch for warning signs.”

Glenn Beck often quotes from progressives in the Obama administration. These progressives are known to support population control, involuntary fertility control,  abortion, infanticide, etc. I want to point out to Glenn Beck that since 1970, progressives have not only set out to commit atrocities in America, but they have achieved this in the form of legalized human abortion. If violently ripping apart the bodies of tiny innocent babies is not an atrocity, I don’t know what is.

“Justice Roberts Hints He Could Overturn Roe”

Justice Roberts Hints He Could Overturn Roe
    http://newsmax.com/InsideCover/johnroberts-supremecourt-abortion-roev-wade/2010/01/24/id/347808

“First, Roberts and his fellow strict constructionists on the court are now armed and ready with a powerful rationale for overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade abortion ruling if Justice Anthony Kennedy or a future justice becomes the fifth vote against Roe.”

“Secondly, successfully placing Roberts atop the high court is beginning to look like former President George W. Bush’s most important legacy – a gift that will keep on giving for conservatives for decades.”

    Blue Skies Smiling at Me

    carol | January 24, 2010

    Ella Fitzgerald – Blue Skies

    Blue Skies

I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Ev’ry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were gray but they’re not gray anymore

    Blue skies
    Smiling at me
    Nothing but blue skies
    Do I see

    Bluebirds
    Singing a song
    Nothing but bluebirds
    All day long

Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
    Noticing the days hurrying by
When you’re in love, my how they fly

    Blue days
    All of them gone
    Nothing but blue skies
    From now on

I should care if the wind blows east or west
I should fret if the worst looks like the best
I should mind if they say it can’t be true
I should smile, that’s exactly what I do

    iPhone interprets babies’ cries

    http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2817327/Why-tots-not-appy-by-iPhone.html#ixzz0dDPufOLv

“AN iPhone application to translate a baby’s cries and tell parents instantly what they mean has been made available.
Researchers discovered infants had five distinct, universal yells – regardless of language – indicating whether the tot is hungry, annoyed, tired, stressed or bored…”

“The makers claim 96 per cent accuracy. But parenting experts believe it could make people rely on technology, not instinct and experience.”

“‘Learning to interpret cries is part of the bonding process and forms the foundation for good communication.’”

Sounds interesting as long as there is not a “He’s just doing that” option.

    Quotes from Elizabeth Foss:

“Connected parenting is evangelistic in the truest sense of the word. If we treat our children with the respect they deserve because they are created in the image and likeness of God and if we meet them with the gentle love of the Blessed Mother, we reach them for Christ.”
    Elizabeth Foss

“We have so very many ready opportunities to offer a cup of water to the least of these! How many opportunities we have daily to let the little children come to Him!”
    Elizabeth Foss

“Done prayerfully and with grace, connected parenting is truly a living spirituality!”
    Elizabeth Foss

“This style of parenting drives us to our knees and so brings us closer to heaven. It forces us to die to self again and again to meet the needs of God’s little creatures. It’s immediately easier to shout and/or hit and abuse our authority to put out the fires of our day. We can stop the behavior through fear and punishment. But that doesn’t really require any heroic, saintly effort on our part, does it? Ultimately, it destroys the relationship with the child and it becomes for us the occasion of sin.”
    Elizabeth Foss

“In order to parent effectively, we have to grow. We have to change and mature. We have to meet children where they are and lead them somewhere better. We can’t do that without relying heavily on God’s grace…”
    Elizabeth Foss

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Quotes

    carol | January 18, 2010

“If you lose hope, somehow you lose the vitality that keeps life moving, you lose that courage to be, that quality that helps you go on in spite of it all. And so today I still have a dream.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“The hottest place in Hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of great moral conflict.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power. And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals. Just keep being friendly to that person. Just keep loving them, and they can’t stand it too long. Oh, they react in many ways in the beginning. They react with guilt feelings, and sometimes they’ll hate you a little more at that transition period, but just keep loving them. And by the power of your love they will break down under the load. That’s love, you see. It is redemptive, and this is why Jesus says love. There’s something about love that builds up and is creative. There is something about hate that tears down and is destructive. So love your enemies.”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”
    Martin Luther King Jr.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1244184/Breastfeeding-months-leaves-children-likely-suffer-mental-health-problems-later-life.html#ixzz0czXwLIO1

“Children who are breastfed for more than six months are less likely to have mental health problems in later life, according to new research.”

“Experts believe that nutrients in mothers’ milk, and the bonding process, may have a long-lasting effect…”

“‘There are a number of ways extended breastfeeding could assist child development. We know that breast milk is packed full of nutrients that help with the rapid brain development that occurs in the early years. It might also signal a strong mother-child attachment and these benefits may last.’”

“UNICEF and the World Health Organization recommend infants should be exclusively breastfed for the first six months and ‘that breastfeeding should continue to contribute an important part of a baby’s diet through the second year of life and beyond’.”

    Somebody Loved
Rain turns the sand into mud
Wind turns the trees into bone
    Stars turning high up above
You turn me into somebody loved

Nights when the heat had gone out
    We danced together alone
Cold turned our breath into clouds
We never said what we were dreaming of
But you turned me into somebody loved

Someday when we’re old and worn
    Like two softened shoes
I will wonder on how I was born
The night I first ran away from you

Now my feet turn the corner back home
Sun turns the evening to rose
    Stars turning high up above
You turn me into somebody loved
