    Earth Day

    | April 28, 2010

Earth Day and I share the same birthday year. I ignored posting about it last week, but I did acknowledge it with paper plates, plastic bags, and a little styrofoam burning. The most disturbing and honest comment I heard about Earth Day was from a lefty environmentalist on CBC radio. She noted that in Canada, only the schools acknowledge Earth Day. SHE SAID, “It is like a National Religious Holiday for the school kids.” Exactly.

    Breast milk destroys cancer cells?

Natural substance in breast milk destroys cancer cells
    http://www.naturalnews.com/028662_brst_milk_cancer.html

“Breast milk is documented to be the best food possible for infants and breastfeeding is known to have enormous health benefits for moms, too. It turns out, however, that breast milk has even more amazing properties. Swedish researchers have found that it contains a compound that kills cancer cells in humans.”

Population, Bioinformatics and InVitro Studies into the Relationship between Residual Human DNA Vaccine Contaminants and Autism

“By the time a child enters school they have received an average of 36 vaccinations – a number of them during the first 12 months of life. Several of these contain aborted fetal DNA and cellular contaminants, a fact that has many parents, scientists and medical professionals concerned. They are concerned about the short term safety, the ethical aspects and the unknown lifelong health consequences, so concerned that parents are increasingly opting out of the recommended vaccination schedules. Their concerns may have merit. Unfortunately we don’t have the quality and quantity of research needed to draw firm conclusions.”

“Before children received so many vaccinations and before vaccines contained aborted fetal DNA, only 1 child out of 10,000 was diagnosed with autism, now 1 out of 110 8 year olds is diagnosed. Is there a link? We need to find out. Research is the answer.”

Baby boy survives for nearly two days after abortion
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/italy/7646540/Baby-boy-survives-for-nearly-two-days-after-abortion.html

“The 22-week infant later died in intensive care at a hospital in the mother’s home town of Rossano in southern Italy.”

“The mother, pregnant for the first time, had opted for an abortion after prenatal scans suggested that her baby was disabled.”

“He was discovered alive the following day – some 20 hours after the operation – by Father Antonio Martello, the hospital chaplain, who had gone to pray beside his body.”

“He found that the baby, wrapped in a sheet with his umbilical cord still attached, was moving and breathing.”

“The priest raised the alarm and doctors immediately arranged for the infant to be taken to a specialist neonatal unit at a neighbouring hospital where he died on Monday morning.”

Don’t talk to aliens, warns Stephen Hawking
    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/science/space/article7107207.ece

“[Stephen Hawking] has suggested that extraterrestrials are almost certain to exist — but that instead of seeking them out, humanity should be doing all it that can to avoid any contact…”

“Alien life, he will suggest, is almost certain to exist in many other parts of the universe: not just in planets, but perhaps in the centre of stars or even floating in interplanetary space.”

“Hawking’s logic on aliens is, for him, unusually simple. The universe, he points out, has 100 billion galaxies, each containing hundreds of millions of stars. In such a big place, Earth is unlikely to be the only planet where life has evolved.”

“‘To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational,’ he said. ‘The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like.’”

Crying babies are at risk of brain damage, claims child expert
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1267977/Crying-babies-risk-brain-damage-claims-child-expert-Dr-Penelope-Ford.html#ixzz0lq4Wl3FL

“Dr Penelope Leach believes distressed babies who are left to cry are at greater risk of developing problems later in life.”

“She claims that fresh research proves that long periods of crying can damage developing brains, leading to learning difficulties later in life.”

“Dr Leach said young babies did not have the mental maturity to ‘learn’ to go to sleep at the right time…”

“She said: ‘A baby who is left crying for long enough will eventually stop, but not because he has learned to go to sleep happily alone, but because he is exhaused and has despaired of getting help.’”

“Dr Leach said continued crying led to the increased production of the ‘stress hormone’ cortisol. Long periods of crying produced so much cortisol that it could damage a baby’s brain, Dr Leach said.”

“‘That doesn’t mean that a baby should never cry, or that parents should worry when she does. All babies cry, some more than others. It’s not the crying that is bad for babies – but crying that gets no response.’”
