    When I See You Smile

    | October 26, 2010

We came to this song during our Karaoke SingStarring on Friday night. I was holding Baby GC and realized how nice the words were. This is for my BABY DEAR. Her smiles light up my life.

    When I See You Smile

    When I See You Smile

    Sometimes I wonder
How I’d ever make it through,
Through this world without having you
    I just wouldn’t have a clue

    …’Cause sometimes it seems
Like this world’s closing in on me,
And there’s no way of breaking free
And then I see you reach for me

    Sometimes I wanna give up
    I wanna give in,
    I wanna quit the fight
And then I see you, baby
    And everything’s alright,
    everything’s alright

    When I see you smile
I can face the world, oh oh,
you know I can do anything
    When I see you smile
I see a ray of light, oh oh,
I see it shining right through the rain
    When I see you smile
Oh yeah, baby when I see you smile at me

Baby there’s nothing in this world
    that could ever do
What a touch of your hand can do
It’s like nothing that I ever knew

And when the rain is falling
    I don’t feel it,
’cause you’re here with me now
And one look at you baby
    Is all I’ll ever need,
    you’re all I’ll ever need

    Sometimes I wanna give up
    I wanna give in,
    I wanna quit the fight
And then I see you baby
    And everything’s alright,
    everything’s alright

    So right…

    Wow… Tears and goosebumps…

    The Prolife Tea Party Vote

Did you know that abortion is legal in Canada, for ANY reason, up until PARTIAL-birth, paid for by our tax dollars? It would have been legal for me to have my baby killed just over seven weeks ago, and any time during the previous nine months of her life. This is why I say, Ohhhhhhhhh :-( Canada.

Baby GC ~ one month old

Where Did You Come From, Baby Dear?
    George MacDonald

Where did you come from, baby dear?
Out of the everywhere into here.

Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky as I came through.

What makes the light in them sparkle and spin?
Some of the starry spikes left in.

Where did you get that little tear?
I found it waiting when I got here.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm white rose?
I saw something better than anyone knows.

Whence that three-cornered smile of bliss?
Three angels gave me at once a kiss.

Where did you get this pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

Where did you get those arms and hands?
Love made itself into hooks and bands.

Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherubs’ wings.

How did they all just come to be you?
God thought about me, and so I grew.

But how did you come to us, you dear?
God thought about you, and so I am here.

For a Taste of Real Freedom, Check Out the Duggar Kids — All 19 of Them

“As we spoke to the three of them, one word kept jumping out at me: Freedom. These girls were experiencing freedom teenagers rarely taste. Completely free to be themselves. The exact opposite of the words so often used by media folk to describe the 19 kids.”

Nice to know. I am a fan. I don’t know if the blanket training and spanking rumours are true, but there is no evidence of that on their show (unless you look at the groups they admire on their website and then you kind of assume.) Regardless, their example on the show makes people think they parent gently. I admire the soft-spoken correction that is on the show. Sweet and kind and loving. And definitely attached.

Mothers who breastfeed ‘are at lower risk of diabetes’

What baby boys eat determines how strong, masculine they become

“Researchers have determined that baby boys who are breastfed during the first six months of their lives–who also gain the most weight during this crucial developmental period–grow up to be stronger and more masculine than men who are undernourished.”

Breastfeeding ‘prevents baby infections,’ research suggests

“Exclusive breastfeeding for six months wards off baby infections, further evidence suggests.”
