I’m “A Shirker Named Jo-Jo”, Are YOU?
One of my very favorite children’s books is Horton Hears A Who by Dr. Seuss. When I think about its (unintentional) analogy to the rights of the unborn, it makes me cry. That rotten black-bottomed bird reminds me of Henry Morgantaler, the famous Canadian abortionist whose hands have shed much blood.
“A person’s a person, no matter how small. I’ve got to protect them. I’m bigger than they.”
Babies are being slaughtered, and still, we shirk. We continue with our church activities, we complain about our housework, we gripe about our lousy jobs, we watch countless repeats and pointless television, we waste time on the internet. Abortion makes us feel icky, and we don’t like feeling icky. If you think that abortion doesn’t matter because all babies go to heaven, then maybe you should consider, “What if they don’t?”
Women who choose abortion are scared. They feel hopeless. They are not exercising their “right to choose” because it’s a popular thing to do. They are truly desperate. We need to help them, not be witness to more hurt.
In order to stop abortion, our world needs to be shown the Light. Remember the children’s hymn, Jesus Bids Us Shine. We need to tell the truth about abortion. We need to tell what abortion does to women. We need to show what it does to babies. And yes, they ARE babies, even when their mothers don’t want to be pregnant.
Get educated on pre-natal development. Don’t be afraid to look at what abortion does to the unborn. The little babies sure don’t get a choice when they are ripped apart.
Let us make a difference for the glory of God.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Well-said. Motivating.
