It crossed my mind this morning that the children could all be away at school and only C1 would be home all day – with no buddies. I mentioned the scenario to L7, and he did a seven-year-old roll on the floor and was not impressed with the thought. Something so strange and shocking to us is the norm to most other families. If you think about it honestly, which is really more NORMAL?! It has been hard enough on the kids to have the oldest brother go to university, but this sibling separation was supposed to start at age five? I think NOT.

I was thinking about that lately with regards to S7. He would be missing out on so much with Baby G if I had to send him to school each day. So thankful to be homeschooling.
I agree. One of my best “classes” during my homeschooling years was “Baby 101″ starring N. I took many breaks from school work for that purpose. Not to mention all the breaks I took to play with the Cleo too. And in both your cases, I’m sure it contributes to how all the siblings get along so well. They’re all BFFs with each other
In March, the two older boys went to school. . . Now the three younger ones are in school and the oldest is home. I think I’ll be pulling them all out once this baby comes. . .
Ruth, the BFF part is probably hardest for B13 now with N off to university… By the way, N brought home math for B to do, so N would know if he got it right.
TG, I didn’t know your oldest was home… You might not convince the others to come home! … If you are healthy and baby is not challenging, it will be great! All I know is, time goes faster every year, and you won’t regret it.
