George Will: ‘Historians will marvel’ over American liberalism’s defense of abortion [VIDEO]

“First, the American left cares about ending wars and they care about poverty and they care about the environment, but they really care about — when they’re not perfunctory — is when you touch abortions. And historians will marvel that American liberalism in the first part of the 21st century is defined as defense of abortion.”

    Reminds me of Moloch:

“First MOLOCH, horrid King besmear’d with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents tears,
Though, for the noyse of Drums and Timbrels loud,
Their children’s cries unheard that passed through fire.”

    John Milton, Paradise Lost

“Tophet is Moloch, which was made of brass; and they heated him from his lower parts; and his hands being stretched out, and made hot, they put the child between his hands, and it was burnt; when it vehemently cried out; but the priests beat a drum, that the father might not hear the voice of his son, and his heart might not be moved.” 12th century Rashi, commenting on Jeremiah 7:31

    “ABORTION ENSLAVES WOMEN”

    | February 5, 2012

I’ve been saying this for years. So thankful others recognize this truth. This is an EXCELLENT article. Click through to read the whole thing. The following quotes are exactly what I believe.

Abortion enslaves women in order to free men from responsibility
    http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/abortion-enslaves-women-in-order-to-free-men-from-responsibility

“…Abortion is oppressive because it is a mechanism that allows men to be free of responsibility; they now have an easy out when a woman becomes pregnant. The problem is that it is only easy for the man; he simply has to come up with the money and his part is over. The woman is the one who must walk into that clinic and undergo a violent and invasive procedure as her pre-born child is dismembered and torn from her body.”

Abortion does not free women; it holds them in bondage to a society that teaches women that killing their child is a form of love and mercy.”

“This is a so-called ‘choice’ that lies to women and tells them their own child is nothing more than an inconvenience and a parasite. Pregnancy is not a sickness or condition that needs to be fixed, it is the state of being with child. When a woman is pregnant she is not pregnant with a ‘potential human being,’ she is pregnant with an actual human being in the earliest stages of that human’s development cycle…”

…Abortion is a lie that tells women to sacrifice their own child and then robs them of one of the most amazing parts of being a woman: motherhood. The bond between mother and child is such a special connection; abortion destroys that bond and denies the mother and child their relationship…”

“…Abortion enslaves women to a world where men can dominate and control them so the men can be free. It is sad that men have been able to turn the argument around and make women think it is about their freedom when it is about men not having to be men and raise and support their child. Men scare women into thinking abortion is their only option and as a man I am disgusted by the oppression other men have perpetrated by pushing women to kill their own children…”

“…The fact remains that abortion is an unnatural response to one of nature’s most precious gifts to women. Abortion is does not affirm women, it reduces their pregnancy to a disease that needs a cure. Abortion does not free women; it holds them in bondage to a society that teaches women that killing their child is a form of love and mercy.”

“The true freedom of a woman is the freedom to be a mother without shame, without scrutiny and without men pressuring them to ‘fix it’ or ‘get it taken care of.’ The beauty of motherhood and childbirth should be celebrated and looked at as one of the greatest achievements of womanhood. The last time I checked, there is not a man on earth who can even come close to this achievement…”

WHY I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SUPERBOWL

I am hoping this is the day the world began to change. The day people everywhere will awaken to the barbaric travesty called choice. I am thankful to have been able to contribute money to this effort.

Diagnosed with a Disabled Child? Letting him or her live will be “worth every tear”.

    | February 5, 2012

Some of you will be told this year that you are expecting a disabled child. Your doctor will inform you of your options, including abortion. Life without regrets and let your child live. The difficulties you will face of having a special needs child will not compare with the painful memory of having killed the very child who needed you the most. Paraphrasing Rick Santorum, your baby “is worth every tear”.

Life With Trig: Sarah Palin on Raising a Special-Needs Child
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/newsweek/2012/02/05/life-with-trig-sarah-palin-on-raising-a-special-needs-child.html

“…When I discovered early in my pregnancy that my baby would be born with an extra chromosome, the diagnosis of Down syndrome frightened me so much that I dared not discuss my pregnancy for many months. All I could seem to muster was a calling out to God to prepare my heart for what was ahead. My prayers were answered beyond my shallow understanding of what true joy could be. Yes, raising a child with special needs is a unique challenge, and there’s still fear about my son Trig’s future because of health and social challenges; and certainly some days are much more difficult than if I had a ‘normal’ child.”

“Many everyday activities like doctor’s appointments and social gatherings and travel accommodations and even mealtimes and a solid night of sleep are that much more difficult, but at the end of the day I wouldn’t trade the relative difficulties for any convenience or absence of fear. God knew what he was doing when he blessed us with Trig. We went from fear of the unknown to proudly displaying a bumper sticker sent to us that reads: “My kid has more chromosomes than your kid!” He may not be the next Wayne Gretzky, but our hearts are filled with so much pride watching Trig giggle with his sisters’ puppies, or sway to the rhythm of his Little Angels DVDs, it’s as if he were hoisting the Stanley Cup…”

“…Trig is almost 4 years old now, and every morning when he wakes up, he pulls himself up, rubs the sleep out of his eyes, looks around, and then starts applauding! He welcomes each day with thunderous applause and laughter. He looks around at creation and claps as if to say, ‘OK, world, what do you have for me today?’”

Sen. Rubio Delivers Keynote Address at SBA List Gala

17:35 “The truth is, I believe in all my heart, that future generations will look back at this era in American history and condemn us. They’ll look at what’s happened here since 1973, and they will characterize this nation as barbarians. At some point, hopefully in our lifetime, but certainly at some point, people will look back at this practice [abortion] and say, how could that be possible? In the way that we look back at the atrocities of the past, at things that occurred one hundred, two hundred, three hundred years ago, at institutions that we as a nation banned, how could people have supported this stuff? How could people have turned a blind eye to these things? How could people have ignored that these things were happening? The way we look at those things and condemn them, this era will be condemned for this. I have no doubt about it. Our job is to accelerate the process of getting there…”

    Choice in a Jar

    | February 2, 2012

If you thought your aborted baby was ground up in the garbage disposal like it was supposed to be, think again. It might have ended up in a jar in the abortuary’s basement. (Isn’t it interesting that my spell checker wants to change the word abortuary to the word mortuary? And the word obituary comes second.)

Barack Obama, What daughter wants to build her dreams on the memory of having killed her own unborn child?

    | January 23, 2012

When celebrating the 39th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, Barack Obama said,

“I remain committed to protecting a woman’s right to choose and this fundamental constitutional right… While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue—no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption.” Barack Obama

What exactly is wrong with abortion that the rate needs to be reduced?

“And as we remember this historic anniversary, we must also continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” Barack Obama

What daughter wants to build her dreams on the memory of having killed her own unborn child? How is that equality? Abortion = one dead, one wounded, and one free to continue to sexually exploit. Abortion gives men the right to “use” women without consequences. Abortion exists so men can pursue a lifestyle of sexual irresponsibility without accountability. Abortion exploits women. Men (partners and even doctors) often coerce women into believing that abortion is the only solution. Abortion provides an easy out for the man, certainly not for the woman. Women are often coerced into having abortions. Women are being deceived at the most basic level. The woman is deliberately deceived about the abortion itself, its effects on her and on her living, growing child. After being used by men, women are then violated with the abortion cover-up. Abortion is a violent act against both the mother and the child.

Speaking of the dreams of our daughters, Barack Obama, don’t you know that we have known for YEARS that unborn babies dream?! Literally!! Why don’t they have the “same rights, freedoms, and opportunities”?

“Using ultrasound techniques, it was first shown that REM (rapid eye movements) which are characteristic of active dream states have been demonstrated at 23 weeks.” J. Birnhaltz, “The Development of Human Fetal Eye Movement Patterns,” Science, 1981, vol. 213, pp. 679-681

“REM have since been recorded 17 weeks after conception.” S. Levi, Brugman University of Brussels, American Medical Association News, February 1, 1983

Words of Death: It’s a Girl

WHAT is this CHOICE they talk about???

Baby Melinda was one of the smallest babies ever born, and her family rejoiced today as she went home from the hospital for the first time. She was born four months early weighing only 9.5 oz. … Meanwhile, on another wing of the hospital, choices are made to end the lives of other babies – just as human, just as precious, often bigger than Melinda.

Selective Abortion Worries: ‘It’s A Girl’ Could Be A Death Sentence

Selective abortions prompt call for ultrasound rules
    http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/2012/01/13/female-feticide-editorial.html

Death sentence? You mean someone dies? I thought it was a choice!!

It’s so sad that parents can’t be trusted with the knowledge of their unborn child’s gender. When some people find out they’re expecting a girl, they arrange for it to be killed. Society already accepts the targeting and slaughter of 90% of diagnosed Down’s Syndrome unborn babies.

Protests against gender abortions might be our way out of this hole. If it’s wrong to kill girl babies, then maybe it’s wrong to kill poor babies, or inconvenient babies, or imperfect babies…
