Free from the law, O happy condition,
Jesus has bled and there is remission,
Cursed by the law and bruised by the fall, Grace hath redeemed us once for all.
Once for all, O sinner, receive it,
Once for all, O brother, believe it;
Cling to the cross, the burden will fall, Christ hath redeemed us once for all.
Now we are free, there’s no condemnation,
Jesus provides a perfect salvation.
“Come unto Me,” O hear His sweet call,
Come, and He saves us once for all.
“Children of God,” O glorious calling, Surely His grace will keep us from falling;
Passing from death to life at His call;
Blessèd salvation once for all.
My soul is filled with joy and gladness
Since Jesus came to me.
His love has banished all my sadness, From sin I am set free.
He set me free, He set me free,
I was blind, but hallelujah, now I see!
I shall ne’er forget the day When He washed my sins away,
And He set, He set me free.
The Comforter divine is dwelling
Within my soul today;
His love to others I am telling
Since Jesus came to stay.
The grace of Jesus hath abounded
For all my sins I see,
Salvation walls have me surrounded, From sin I am set free.
Once I was bound by sin’s galling fetters;
Chained like a slave, I struggled in vain. But I received a glorious freedom,
When Jesus broke my fetters in twain.
Glorious freedom! Wonderful freedom!
No more in chains of sin I repine!
Jesus the glorious Emancipator—
Now and forever He shall be mine.
Freedom from all the carnal affections;
Freedom from envy, hatred and strife;
Freedom from vain and worldly ambitions;
Freedom from all that saddened my life!
Freedom from pride and all sinful follies;
Freedom from love and glitter of gold;
Freedom from evil temper and anger;
Glorious freedom, rapture untold!
Freedom from fear with all of its torments;
Freedom from care with all of its pain;
Freedom in Christ, my blessèd Redeemer—
He Who has rent my fetters in twain.
Why should I feel discouraged, why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely, and long for heaven and home,
When Jesus is my portion? My constant friend is He:
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me.
“Let not your heart be troubled,” His tender word I hear,
And resting on His goodness, I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path He leadeth, but one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
Whenever I am tempted, whenever clouds arise,
When songs give place to sighing, when hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to Him, from care He sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me.
“…Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk has distanced himself from his spokeswoman’s statements that homeschoolers would be forbidden to teach controversial aspects of their religious beliefs as part of their curriculum…”
“The recent case where the father of a pre-kindergarten student was arrested, strip searched and told he was being charged with illegal possession of a firearm because his daughter had drawn a picture of a gun, was perfectly acceptable because educators are “co-parents,” a school official in Waterloo told an interviewer from Sun News.”
Note added: When my parents opted me out of the sex education program in school, I had to take an alternative course about values clarification and cultural/moral relativism. Since my parents had already cleaned up the schools’ sex education course, it turned out that the secular humanist values course was even worse than the sex ed. As you can imagine, the alternative books were promptly given back to the teacher, and I didn’t have to do anything (except some Phys. Ed. type of questions).
I was taught with Christian glasses at home. There is no right or wrong outside Christianity. The public-schooled and Oprah-taught masses have no idea what we will face when Christianity is completely wiped out as the law of the land.
And one more note: Although the topic hasn’t been mentioned by many, my son has yet to come across a student who is not an evolutionist at his CHRISTIAN university.
I would say that Christian public school teachers are pretty proud of the fact that they control their religion by keeping it out of the classroom. I recall my twelve years at public school, and there was no way that I could tell that any of my teachers were Christians. I remember one teacher in particular who made it clear that he was an athiest, but outside of school, it was a surprise to find out that some of my “Christian” teachers actually had a faith. Other religions are more aggressive. With the low birth rate in Canada, it won’t be long until other religions form the majority in our democracy. Here comes Sharia Law.
This story disgusts me. It is going on in our Canadian PUBLIC schools!!! What blatant disrespect to these young girls. How humiliating and embarassing and degrading. It is absolutely disgraceful that women’s rights activists and those who care about women are not demanding equality. AND what’s with religion in public schools anyway?! Multiculturalism has come a long way.
Young girls segregated to the back of the room
in Canadian public school!!
Story Highlights:
•Critics claim Toronto District School Board is breaching Ontario’s Education Law by allowing Islamic prayer during the school day
•An outside imam comes to the school to conduct weekly prayer meetings
•Young girls who are menstruating are not allowed to participate and are separated from the group
“Canada’s House of Commons narrowly passed a ‘transgender’ bill Wednesday evening in a vote of 143-135.”
“Bill C-389, which seeks to add ‘gender identity’ and ‘gender expression’ to the Canada Human Rights Act and the Criminal Code’s hate crimes section, will now move to the Senate for consideration.”
“‘We find the whole thing appalling,’ said Jim Hughes, national president of Campaign Life Coalition. ‘We find the lack of opposition from church leaders especially was deafening. The people are ignorant of it and what is going to happen next.’”
“It would allow men who say they are women to use women’s washrooms, with a danger of increasing bathroom attacks against women.”
“Public school children in Hamilton, Ontario will not be permitted to withdraw from classes that promote homosexuality, according to the Hamilton Mountain News. At the same time, according to a leaked document obtained by a local journalist, teachers are being instructed to tell parents who object to the curriculum that ‘this is not about parent rights.’”
When I went to school, calling people “gay” was common and used as an insult for ANY person. I think the media is putting a homosexual spin on this story, when likely it is plain old public school bullying. Bullying is very destructive and can not only lead to suicide, but serious problems throughout life.
“The Mohats also claim that bullying was a ‘significant factor’ in the deaths of three other students in Eric Mohat’s class in 2007.”
“But days before the suicide, Eric Mohat told his mother, ‘I get picked on every day and I’ve got a whole nine weeks left. I can’t do this anymore.’”
Parents, you have the RIGHT to keep your children OUT of the schools. You can keep them home.
Obviously the schools will not protect your child. YOU have to.
“We don’t believe [bullying] it’s a problem,” says school representative. “We have a program of anti-bullying education to raise awareness for students about what constitutes bullying and differences among students.”
