Book tells Muslim men how to beat and control their wives
http://www.torontosun.com/2012/03/23/book-tells-muslim-men-how-to-beat-and-control-their-wives
“In the book’s opening pages, it is written that ‘it might be necessary to restrain her with strength or even to threaten her.’”
“Later, its author advises that ‘the husband should treat the wife with kindness and love, even if she tends to be stupid and slow sometimes.’“
“Page 45 contains the rights of the husband, which include his wife’s inability to leave ‘his house without his permission,’ and that his wife must ‘fulfil his desires’ and ‘not allow herself to be untidy … but should beautify herself for him … ‘“
“In terms of physical punishment, the book advises that a husband may scold her, ‘beat by hand or stick,’ withhold money from her or ‘pull (her) by the ears,’ but should ‘refrain from beating her excessively.’“

Polygamy’s degrading to women – end of story
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/lysiane-gagnon/polygamys-degrading-to-women-end-of-story/article2258685/
I heard at least one of the women on TLC’s Sisterwives say that if it wasn’t for her religion, then she wouldn’t choose polygamy. Cult religion, even in sects of Christianity, is not healthy.

If you think your child can go through public high school without risk, then I think you are dead wrong.

Is it still wrong if another culture says it is right? A teacher’s surprising discovery

Note added:
When my parents opted me out of the sex education program in school, I had to take an alternative course about values clarification and cultural/moral relativism. Since my parents had already cleaned up the schools’ sex education course, it turned out that the secular humanist values course was even worse than the sex ed. As you can imagine, the alternative books were promptly given back to the teacher, and I didn’t have to do anything (except some Phys. Ed. type of questions).
I was taught with Christian glasses at home. There is no right or wrong outside Christianity. The public-schooled and Oprah-taught masses have no idea what we will face when Christianity is completely wiped out as the law of the land.

And one more note:
Although the topic hasn’t been mentioned by many, my son has yet to come across a student who is not an evolutionist at his CHRISTIAN university.

The article linked below is very disturbing. What is worse is how the North American culture is being prepared for polygamy through mainstream television programming like TLC’s Sister Wives and Our America with Lisa Ling, etc.
Polygamy is so degrading to women and such a backward step after all the efforts to have women treated better. Where are the feminists? If you have ever watched Sister Wives you would see the underlying themes of jealousy and missing father syndrome. People enjoy watching entertaining ”reality” programs like that and as a result, polygamy becomes accepted as part of the cultural norm. Then who will stand up against Shariah Law?
